By now I was really hoping to have a version ready for you all to play with on Itch.io, but there are some weird issues with Unity services. I’m trying to figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.
It does not appear to load or save the player data correctly. Which you could say is rather important for for a progressive game like this.
True, it was not in the original plan to have a play in a Web browser version. But, then again, why not. There should be nothing that prevents it since all the data for a player is stored using Unity game services and local storage is just a back up.
Although this problem is not helping me reach that goal. The goal was to get it out there online for folks to play and provide feedback as I continue to develop the game. This seemed ideal since I could constantly update the game without asking users to install anything or sign up in a beta group.
I’m going to keep working on this, but if anyone out there is reading this and has or had similar problems, please reach out to me at peterwitham.com/contact as I think some extra brains and community support are needed for me to figure this one out.
Development still goes on though, and you can always see replays or catch the live stream at twitch.tv/compiledev
Thanks.
