It has been a crazy month of development to get this release out. So much to talk about, so let’s get started.
Boss Revenge
I know you love to fight those bosses, so I’ve added the penalties to make it more challenging. Now you need to make a choice, take them on or grow stronger and increase your chance of success.
Because if you loose, depending on the level of the boss you will suffer some consequences. But fear not, some of them are temporary and you can recover.
Trace Level
When fighting a boss, your trace level will increase if you loose. You get three chances, the third will result in all network servers having their Dark Web Coins removed. You will have to wait for them to start refilling before being able to hack Dark Web Coins again.
Resources Frozen
If you suffer the frozen resources penalty, you will stop gaining Hack Power for the duration of the freeze. The good news is that your Hack Power will not be reduced, giving you time to come up with a strategy before trying again.
Hack Debuff
Hack Debuff, will reduce the chance of a successful hack by the indicated percentage for the duration of the debuff. Once again, the good news is you will not loose anything, just a reduction in your chances of success.
Countermeasures Active
This is a cool down timer before you can attempt to hack the boss again. Designed for you to gather more Hacking Power and a new plan before trying again. Think of this one as a chance to consider increasing your percentage chance of success and improve odds in your favor.
Research Items
The first two research items are now available. These may change in future releses as game play testing reveals their effectiveness.
These two items have multiple levels allowing you to research them more than once to improve their effects. In this case, you can speed up the cooldown on Server reload times for Dark Web Coin and increase the amount of Hack Power you get from each resource.
When you reach the appropriate requirements to start a research item click the button to get started. Research times and costs vary so choose wisely, they will increase for the next level.
Once research completes, you will gain the bonus.
Cancel before completing is possible, but be warned the costs will not be returned to you.
